Embarking on a transformative journey with Mitsubishi Uni-ball, we, at Media.Monks, delved into the task of redefining Uni-ball's brand identity and market approach. Our collaboration aimed to reimagine not just Uni-ball but also its sub-brands like Uni Pin, Emott, Eye, Posca, and more, elevating their visual appeal. Extensive research guided our journey, shaping not just the tone of voice but also hundreds of brand assets—from logos to packaging, social media, and advertisements. The overarching concept, 'Start your story', encapsulated the fusion of craftsmanship and creativity. The logo transformation, shortening Uni-ball to 'Uni' with a lowercase 'u,' marked a design-forward shift—striking a balance between approachability and modernity while preserving the brand's legacy. Each sub-brand found its tailored 'Story,' linking illustrators with Uni Posca and fashion designers with Uni One, creating bespoke design narratives.
